Hi! I'm Abbey.
I have had a knack for creating and storytelling from a young age. Always drawn behind the lens of a camera or the screen of a computer, I am fascinated by how creative content can connect us to the things we love. I strive to help brands in sports and entertainment tell compelling stories by creating the most engaging digital content possible.
I studied Multimedia Journalism and Sport Management at Loyola University Chicago. My passions lie in media, sports, and pop culture, and I strive to integrate all of these into my work with authenticity, heart, and personality.
At Loyola, I was a Video/Digital Content Producer at Rambler Sports Locker, the School of Communication's student-run broadcast show that covers collegiate and professional sports. I showcased my versatility by filming and editing video packages at athletic events, producing in-studio broadcast content, writing and reporting on local sports, and creating graphics. In September 2022, I was promoted to RSL's Social Media Manager, where I oversee our digital content strategy across X (Twitter), Instagram and TikTok.
Since my involvement with RSL, I have gained professional experience in the sports industry. In the spring of 2022, I was a Social Media Marketing Intern at Bleav, a content network that hosts over 500 podcasts focused on sports and entertainment. For the 2022-2023 season, I joined the United States Premier Hockey League's Chicago Cougars as a Digital Content Specialist. In both roles, I learned how to work with talent, maintain a brand voice that appeals to multiple audiences, and collaborate on multimedia projects within a marketing department.
In my free time, you can catch me hanging out with my three dogs, drawing, listening to my favorite artists on repeat or watching overly long niche video essays.
